Want to live your best life all the time and not just in the in-between moments?
Good. Because that’s exactly what we do around here.
Launched in 2013 as a DIY/craft website The Dahlia Scene has evolved into a community where mothers blossom. We breed a positive take the bull by the horns attitude because we believe that moms don’t have to relegate their life to the in-between times.
- We believe you have the ability to live the life you want even with a small child on your hip.
- We believe you hold the key to that life, and we are here to help you turn that lock and bust open your dreams.
- We believe you deserve happiness, respect, love, and a well-balanced life. And we’re here to help you find the time and space to live that life. #balancedmotherhood #internationalmothering
- If we’re being totally honest, we also believe that baby snuggles can cure any bad day.
Ultimately we know you need to take care of yourself, eat well, and live the life you were destined to live and we’re here to help you do that like the freaking amazing woman that you are.

So, who is the lady behind the curtain?
Glad you asked, lady. Currently based in Asheville, North Carolina, The Dahlia Scene was founded by Yvonne Marcus. The Dahlia Scene started as a DIY and food journal that slowly morphed into a lifestyle journal. Currently, I’d like to say it’s a little piece of the #momlifestyle. When I started The Dahlia Scene, I didn’t know what it was or what it would become, but I’m glad I stuck with it.
My life’s passion is to help moms. I know that we all feel pressure to #doitall and #haveitall, but I know that we also know that’s just not feasible. We should have the life we want, though, and I’m glad to say that I’m living that life. I quit my job to pursue my dream of The Dahlia Scene as soon as I found out Sweet Baby J was on the way. It might have seemed a little premature, but I was definitely tired of that two-hour commute to work every day. Can you blame me?
My hope is that I’ll be able to help you live that life as well. The life you were meant to live all the time and not just in those quiet moments at home.
So let’s be besties, yeah?
